Rancon was founded in 2000 by Jan Heuff as a viral marketing agency initially through our MiniWorldGames brand. Viral games are those addictive web-games people play through their web browsers. Within 3 years our viral games surpassed the 500 million plays mark and we began wondering if perhaps we could build a better all round digital experience for our clients.
We scored ourselves a few clients and began creating some fun and addictive cross-platform branded experiences. Then things began to get big for us. Our client list developed from little known local companies into major advertising agencies and brands. Think Sony, Channel 4 and MTV.
As our reputation has grown so has our team. We've brought the same level of strategy, creativity and technical prowess to diverse mobile and online projects, including Crimestoppers (social networking, video, blogs and games), MoreEco.com (brand launch and social media strategy) and NESTA (building niche social communities). All with the single aim of helping brands and organisations grow through remarkable digital communication.
Over the last few years, we've noticed a widening gap between the potential offered by the internet, and the lack of people to take advantage of it.
